Abstract

Comparisons of 3H-thymidine uptake patterns of both parent cell lines and their viable hybrid cell obtained by fusion of 5-BUdR resistant Chinese and normal American hamster cell types disclosed no apparent alteration in the timing sequence of DNA replicating chromosomes in the hybrid. Formation of an isochromosome in a somatic hybrid cell has been detected by autoradiographic studies. The nonrandom sequence of DNA replication of the hybrid cells is discussed.
