Abstract
In this paper, we study the existence of solutions of variational inequalities and complementarity problems in a reflexive, strictly convex and smooth Banach space by using the generalized projection operator π K : B * → K , where B is a reflexive, strictly convex and smooth Banach space with the dual space B * and K is a nonempty, closed and convex subset of B.
