Abstract
This work presents a comparison of the different techniques used for accurate simulation of simultaneous switching noise. Three different techniques, finite difference frequency domain (FDFD), method of lines (MoL) and partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) simulation, are compared. The results of these three techniques are presented and are validated by comparison to laboratory measurements. The simulation techniques are compared for their efficiency, in terms of their ease-of-use, run-time and speed.
