Abstract

The scientific ideas about the impact of climate changes in recent and coming decades on groundwater accumulated to the present date indicate the absence of a coordinated experts opinion on the sensitivity of groundwater to modern climate changes. The article proposes a method for the determining of the sensitivity of groundwater on the example of the protected area of Belovezhskaya Pushcha to modern climatic variations, justifies the sufficiency of successful verification and validation of the obtained results on its basis.
Based on actual meteorological, hydrological and hydrogeological data characterizing changes in air temperature, precipitation, water and thermal regime on the territory of Belovezhskaya Pushcha, atmospheric cycling, modeling of the sensitivity of groundwater to modern climatic variations was carried out, the task of binary classification of the level regime of groundwater of the Glubonetsky and Kamenyuksky hydrogeological posts was solved.
Objective and subjective uncertainties of estimates of the impact of long-term variations of climatic characteristics on groundwater are considered, the need to continue comprehensive interdisciplinary studies of the relationship between climate change and fresh groundwater is noted.
