Abstract

As the survival rate in this competitive market goes very narrow, multiple alternative solutions are needed to be examined in their company’s logistics network. This process not only allows gaining insights about the implications of cost or other factors of available alternatives, it also allows us to think about many factors such as market openings, labour oriented manufacturing companies, high- tech products assisted labour force, transportation and communication costs too. As the companies shift their industries to different places where they are benefitted for their individual business as well as competitive forefront in international economic market. This may include one or multi-site manufacturing facilities or a vast network of manufacturing industries which are composed of factories which work on a sequential or a co-operative manner. Since it is always uneconomical to transfer a work to another factory from a factory which had faced unforeseen or technical issues, this method may help in providing justification in re-allocation of the job to factories in practical scenarios. This research work aims at solving distributed Scheduling problems using discrete event simulation approach.
