Abstract

We show that the specific nodes are not necessary for solving Cauchy singular integral equations by using quadrature-collocation methods. The solvability of the discrete system is proved for arbitrary selection of quadrature and collocation nodes. We also propose several special choices of these nodes. Especially, a weighted minimum norm-least square method is discussed.
