Abstract
A previously derived method for the determination of Gibbs free energies of transfer for the alkali metal chlorides using cationic glass electrodes is applied to the transfer of RbCl. Gibbs free energies for the transfer of RbCl from water to a number of water-organic solvent mixtures are reported and discussed in terms of solvation. The interest and validity of the proposed method is demonstrated.
