Abstract
We present numerical solutions to the Aitchison equation for final state interactions in the process A → 3a for the special cases that the two-particle interaction in the final state is given by a scattering length, effective range or resonance approximation. Non-relativistic kinematics are used throughout. The integral equations have been solved by numerical iteration. In addition, the Aitchison equation has been generalized to include a two-particle bound state, but no solutions have been found for this case.
