Abstract
It only takes a glance through news headlines to see the scope and impact of cyber threats in our society. Target, Equifax, LinkedIn, among others have fallen to the seemingly never-ending attacks that prey upon organizations resulting in large fines and loss of trust. However large, well-known enterprises are not the only targets, and threat actors are increasingly targeting the health care sector, including small medical practices. A successful attack can have a significant negative clinical, monetary, regulatory, and public perception impact to practices.
