Abstract

An analytical solution to a diffusion equation for calculating stationary field of impurity in a free turbulent flow, provided that the coefficient of turbulent diffusion is directly proportional to the distance of particles from the impurity sources, is proposed. It is shown that, at great distances from the source, the solution obtained has the same character as has the solution obtained on the basis of statistical hypotheses on distribution of the concentration in a gas plume.
