Abstract

The solution of the inverse problem of event reconstruction in the LORD lunar experiment in the simplest case without information on radio emission polarization at a known signal amplitude in a wide frequency band of 200–400MHz is considered using the random searchmethod. The average relative error of the determination of the primary particle energy depends on its energy and can be less than 20% at energies near the midpoint of the energy range under study (1020–1021 eV). At low energies, the relative error of the determination of the primary particle energy is ∼70%.
