Abstract

Energy-space dependent neutron transport is considered in a homogeneous half-space in forward-backward (Fermi-type) and hard-sphere scattering models. Assuming a mono-energetic unit source at the free surface, analytical expressions are derived as solutions of the transport equation for both the outcoming energy dependent current and the space-energy dependent collision density in the half space.
