Abstract
This paper describes the Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element Method (DRBEM) solution of steady natural convection problems in Darcy-Brinkman porous media. The solution of coupled mass, momentum, and energy equations in two-dimensions is structured by the fundamental solution of the Laplace equation, straight line geometry and discontinuous linear field boundary elements. The dual reciprocity method is based on inverse multiquadrics. Solutions are shown for natural convection in a rectangular cavity with differentially heated boundary, phase change, and internal heat generation.
