Abstract
In this work, we propose a solution to judge a photo whether the face expression is apposite or not. It is assumed to be applied on ID photo booths or ID photo machines, of which users do not get feedbacks for their ID photos. The use of Microsoft Kinect enables to get the feature values of the personal photos. The head location of the person in the image is determined quickly, and then its photo is trimmed in a specific process to meet the ID photo size. The landmark points of the faces from the image is extract to make use of their coordinates data to form 40 face feature vectors. By taking the face feature vectors as independent variables. the classification algorithm is defined by Neural Network (NN) or Support Vector Machine (SVM). In the numerical experiments, the validity of the algorithm is discussed in three cases.
