Abstract
A soluble model of the tachyon field, which is relativistically invariant, is formalized with the restriction that tachyons are virtual particles. The coupling of a self-conjugate tachyon to a pair of spinless bradyons is investigated in a manner similar to Schweber's scalar field model. There is no need to renormalize the bradyon mass even though the dressed bradyon has a tachyon cloud.
