Abstract

The solubility of γ-CL-20 in four binary solvents (n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane, iso-octane mixtures of n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane and iso-octane mixed with various mole fractions of ethyl acetate) was determined using the gravimetric method at temperatures ranging from 283.15 K to 323.15 K under atmospheric pressure in this work. The experimental solubility data of γ-CL-20 were correlated and fitted to the thermodynamic models such as the modified Apelblat equation, van’t Hoff equation, CNIBS/R-K equation, and Jouyban-Acree model. In the temperature range of 283.15 K–323.15 K. The solubility of γ-CL-20 declines monotonically and slowly with increasing temperature and the temperature dependence is invisible in all of the solution systems. Additionally, it demonstrates that the solubility in binary solvent combinations rises as the ethyl acetate (EtOAc) mole fraction does.
