Abstract

The solubility of Alogliptin Benzoate (AB) in eight pure solvents (water, methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, acetone, acetonitrile, N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF)) was measured from 278.15 K to 318.15 K at atmospheric pressure by the laser monitoring method. An increasing trend with the temperature was shown for the solubility. The fitting results of each model correlated well for the experimental solubility using four thermodynamic models. The thermodynamic properties of Alogliptin Benzoate form A were evaluated, which show the dissolutions of AB to be exothermic and spontaneous. The single structure of form A of AB was also analysed.
