Abstract
It has been shown that O solubilities in Pd can be determined from the subsequent trapping of H by the dissolved O. Diffusion constants of O were determined by the amounts of O that accumulate or leave a Pd plate at times shorter than those needed for equilibrium. The same technique is applied here to Pd–Ag alloys at 1123 K where both solubilities and diffusion constants decrease with the atom fraction of Ag.
