Abstract
The solubility of Co oxide and the corrosion of Co in the presence of (Li0 62K0 38)2CO3 melt have been studied in CO2-O2 atmosphere at 873 ∼ 1073 K. The stable phase of Co oxide in the melt was LiCoO2 coexisting with O2 and CO2 and the solubility of was proportional to Pco21.5 and Po2−2 5. The dissolution reaction is estimated to be
