Abstract

The solubilities of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen in aqueous ethylene glycol(EG) solution with EG mass fraction 0.365 were measured at temperatures from (263–293) K and pressures from (0.009–0.101) MPa based on an isochoric saturation method. A new experimental setup was built and checked by measuring the solubility of carbon dioxide in water. The expanded uncertainty (k = 2) of the measured solubility data was estimated to be less than 4.0%. The experimental results of carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen in aqueous EG solution were successfully correlated with a modified Krichevsky–Kasarnovsky equation. The absolute average deviations of the experimental and fitted values were 5.2%, 3.2%, and 2.6%, respectively.
