SimosonAndrew Simoson (ajsimoso@king.edu) received a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Wyoming in 1979, and is now professor of mathematics at King College in Tennessee. Over the years, he collected, among other things, various whimsical explanations of π being three. The bulging folder led to some fun mathematics talks, and ultimately to this survey article.
