Solitary Fibrous Tumor of Mediastinum-A Rare Clinical Entity and Review of Literature

Abstract

Solitary fibrous tumour is an uncommon mesenchymal tumour with indolent clinical behaviour as compared to its malignant counterpart. There are very few case reports of extra-pleural malignant SFT arising from the mediastinum.We hereby present a rare case report of solitary fibrous tumor arising from mediastinum and reviewing the literature of this entity.
