Abstract
Intramolecular excitations nonlinearly coupled with lattice vibrations in two-dimensional molecular systems are studied. The dynamical discrete equations of motion are presented. In the quasi-continuum approximation, we derive a spatial soliton solution with a sech-profile. It is shown that the solitary bound state formation is due to the anharmonicity of the intramolecular vibrations (excitons).
