Abstract
Fabry-Perot interferometers composed of low-reflective fiber Bragg gratings written on a polarization-maintaining fiber allow us to achieve multipoint sensing with the capability of simultaneous measurement of temperature and strain. Furthermore, the use of a current-modulated laser diode to readout the sensor reduces measurement time and allows solid-state vibration measurements. An experimental demonstration of solid-state vibration measurement is reported. An experiment to verify the feasibility of multipoint measurements is also reported.
