Abstract

Preliminary work to realize a potentiometric solid-state sensor to determine chlorine partial pressure is presented. A galvanic cell having an AgCl solid electrolyte is employed to carry out measurements in the temperature range 150 – 225 °C as a function of Cl 2 partial pressure (10 – 10 4 Pa). The experimental results in terms of accuracy and response time are reports and discussed.
