There are also many other methods but solid dispersion method emerged out promising in context to improving solubility of the drug. Generally, the hydrophilic matrix and a hydrophobic drug constitutes the group of solid products that forms solid dispersion. This review article focuses on the preparation methods, solubility enhancement, evaluation parameters, carriers used, limitations, advantages , disadvantages and applications of solid dispersions.
