Abstract

It is now well reported that the coatings of graphene/candle soot/black carbon can improve the performance of pyroelectric materials. Herein, the performance of candle soot‐coated pyroelectric material (piezoelectric buzzer) under solar heating is reported. To compare the performance, coated/uncoated piezoelectric buzzers are exposed to solar light as well as IR lamp separately. Piezoelectric buzzer shows multiple times superior performance after coating of candle soot. The open‐circuit voltage improves five times with a peak voltage of 3.31 V in solar light. The comparative enhancement in short‐circuit pyroelectric current is four times with a peak current of 2.73 μA. Also, the power and energy densities show multifold enhancement after coating.
