Solar Energy Application for Desalination of Caspian Sea Water

Abstract

In the paper for supplying drinkable water of Absheron peninsula, solar energy application for desalination process of the Caspian Sea was given. For this purpose three type of solar energy plants were developed and tested for desalination process. At the same moment dependence of water temperature in solar energy plants on time for all, parabolic, parabolic trough and flat-plate solar collector were determined. Then economically and ecologically the process was estimated.
