Abstract
Sn–Al co-doped ZnO (ATZO) coated TiO2 whisker was successfully synthesized by sol–gel method using acetylacetone as the chelating agent. Single factor and orthogonal tests were used to optimize the synthesis conditions for AZO@TiO2, and tin chloride was added under optimized reaction to improve the electrical conductivity. The ATZO@TiO2 whiskers were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer, transmission electron microscope, and thermogravimetric analysis. The conductive whiskers showed a core-shell structure and low resistivity of 8.32 kΩ cm. Antistatic fibers and coating fabrics were prepared by adding ATZO@TiO2 whiskers.
