Abstract
Effect of soiling on thin film and crystalline technology for composite climate has been reported here. Three test setup structures with dual axis manual tracking have been installed at outdoors for exposure of modules at different tilt angles 130, 280 & 430. In the same structure with different inclination clean and dust module of each technology is installed to study the effect of variation in current, spectrum and temperature. The manual cleaning of non-dusty modules is done on daily basis in the early morning. The short circuit current of all modules are measured through a programmable digital multi-meter on continuous basis. There is a drop in Isc current for the dust module with the increase of dust accumulation. A change in spectrum is also observed for each day and drop in average photon energy was observed due to change in transmissivity.
