Abstract
It was found that at the time of completion of soil compaction it has content moisture of ∼ 4-8% and, therefore, the osmosis coefficient in the initial period of road use is minimal. The osmosis is mutually eliminated by antiosmosis, which determines the duration of the osmotic period. It was established that the magnitude of the osmosis coefficient is influenced by factors that also affect the parameters of the electric double layer: coefficient of soil compaction, mineral composition, type of exchangeable cations and the concentration of pore solution. The increased density of soil improves the capillary properties of soils and enhances the process of heat and moisture transfer, which makes it possible to make an assumption about the further development of osmotic processes with their subsequent stabilization, provided there are no additional sources of moisture.
