Abstract
AbstractSoftware testing aims at identifying the defects and errors in any developed system. Software testing has been viewed as an optimization problem, indicating that various optimization approaches might be used to address software testing challenges. This research paper discusses the significance of software testing and concepts of test case optimization under regression testing. It describes many forms of regression testing and their approaches and identifies several gaps. A literature survey has been done on test case optimization in regression testing, including test case generation, test case prioritization, and test case minimization.
