Abstract
Abstract This paper provides an overview of the Software Size Estimator (SSE), versions 2.0 and 3.0. The SSE is an automated software tool developed by the author for computing estimated software sizes. It runs on any IBM-PC compatible computer in a dBASE-III or dBASE-III-PLUS environment. Versions 2.0 and 3.0 are faster and easier to use and provide more accurate size estimates by using enhanced models from the earlier version 1.2. A paper on SSE version 1.2 was presented at the ISPA Conference in 1986 and was published in the Journal of Parametrics, Volume VI Number 4, December 1986.
