Abstract

This paper describes the software methodology for remote monitoring and control system which uses remote automation technique. The software methodology includes the creation and compilation of the server application and the client application, setting and execution of remote automation connection manager, and finally testing and debugging of client and server applications. The prototype application of this technique is shown to produce encouraging results. It also offers several advantages such as easy implementation, allowing the activation of server application when there is successful connection and the execution of server application to be visible on the screen. Also, with this methodology, the server can be run as supervisory window.
