Abstract
Modern accelerators, storage rings, and associated large physics experimental apparatus present a number of diverse control problems which are highly interactive. These problems can be best accommodated through a tightly linked network of control and interface elements. This paper describes the software developed for a general, large scale control system which can operate on a heterogeneous collection of processors and local area networks.
