Abstract
The theory and practice of Software Engineering is introduced to undergraduate computer science students in their third year at the University of Ife. It is taught as part of two Commercial Programming courses, one in the first semester and the other in the second semester. This paper discusses the modus operandi of this exercise and outlines the topics covered in the instruction.
