Abstract

The present paper mainly explores about the copyrights in software and different types of specific license system names as Creative Commons on one hand and Free and Open-Source Software Licenses (FOSS) on the other hand, which may cater to different interests of the creators/authors and help them to decide that under which terms and conditions, their work or softwares can be licensed to third persons, without the fear of losing their credits. We have also discussed in brief about Software Repositories and leading repository provider Github, whereby people can store, access, modify, review, develop and share different kinds of files/software on the basis of different licenses available.
