Abstract
The values of ergonomic characteristics of the user interface are influenced by the speed of recognition of visual information on the user interface. The paper considers the influence of three parameters on the perception of visual information: the font size of the character (angular size), the font color of the character, the color of the user interface, on the background of which the character is recognized. The order of actions performed by the software application is considered. The software application is designed to determine the combination of parameter values that affect the perception of visual information which correspond to the best conditions of character recognition (time). The software application can be used as a component of an expert system. The system is designed to configure user interfaces of information systems that provide comfortable working conditions for employees of an enterprise. It also takes into account their current physical and psychological state. For the operation of each component of the expert system, a neural network can be used. The interaction of the components should be carried out using the core of neural networks.
