Abstract

In this study a new fully soft switched converter with a single switch is presented. The relatively small value of required passive circuit elements in this converter makes its implementation simple and cost-efficient. Since this converter operates at fully soft-switching conditions without any extra switches and low number of circuit components, the proposed converter is highly efficient. The other advantage of this converter is its inherent power factor correction (PFC) feature. In this study, the proposed converter is introduced and its theoretical analysis is presented. Also a prototype converter is implemented and the experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.
