Abstract

IntroductionPalatal masses can at times be difficult for a surgeon to diagnose. A mass of the palate can result from developmental, inflammatory, reactive or a neoplastic process. In differential diagnosis, mass of odontogenic/nerve origin (cyst or tumor) must be considered because they are equally common. Case reportWe report a case of 15 year old female who presented with a mass over the soft palate. DiscussionThrough this case report we emphasize that the rarely seen pathology must be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of a mass in the oral cavity.
