Abstract
The problem of reaching a consensus in group decision-making situations is considered. A model is proposed for developing a soft consensus between decision-makers under a fuzzy environment. The model is based on a flexible idea of the coincidence between the degrees of positive and negative ideal agreement. We offer a consensus indicator to assess the level of group consensus. This could be used by group facilitators to develop strategies to achieve consensus among decision-makers through feedback. Finally, a numerical example illustrates the model application.
