Abstract
Abstract A luminescent spectrometer was used to measure the energies and absolute intensities of the γ-quanta emitted by Co59, Rh103, I127, Sm149, Au197 and Hg199 nuclei following the capture of thermal neutrons. It is shown that the γ-lines in the 50–500 keV energy range detected in the present work can be ascribed to transition from the lower excited states of the investigated nuclei. A description of the apparatus and method of measurement is presented.
