Abstract

High-rate and long-life sodium storage is achieved by using the nanorod-shaped core-shell architecture functionalized with the ultrafine MoO2 nanoparticles embedded in carbon matrix. As reported by Chang Yu, Xueliang Sun, Jieshan Qiu, and co-workers in article number 1602880, the ultra-long cycle life up to 10000 cycles and ultra-high rate capability of ≈13.7 s for full charge is due to the enhanced pseudocapacitance behavior.
