Abstract
The digital education system has been very popular and effective during COVID-19. Many countries of the world had introduced digital education system and ICT-based education system to enable the learning process more speeder and smarter long ahead of the pandemic. There are some questions about introducing a digital education system in two South Asian states—Bangladesh and Nepal. This chapter argues that the effectiveness of digital education immensely depends upon the socio-economic condition of the concerned states. Two different countries of South Asia have been selected for the study considering their distinct socio-political, economic, and ethnoreligious features. Much has been researched on the digital education system in Bangladesh and Nepal. But no such research has been conducted yet which offered a comparative study focusing on the human security context. This chapter attempts to make a comparative study of the impact of digital education between Bangladesh and Nepal. How the approaches of the government, civil society, and local bodies have played a significant role in the digital education process that has also been highlighted in this chapter.
