Abstract

Abstract Lumbar discopathy remains an actual problem with a high frequency among people within 35-45 years. In most of the cases, the hernia is located in the lumbar area, most frequently at L4 or L5. In this region, the dorsal vertebral ligament is narrower and less developed, the spine has a higher lordosis and special mobility, all these things leading to an easier transmission of the traumatic shocks. Most often anatomical factors are combined with the environmental ones, favoring degenerative modifications in the spine. The purpose of this analysis is to see the socio-medical impact on the most common pathology of the spine.
