Abstract
This paper will examine the socio-economic situation in the Republic of Srpska based on data collected by Republic of Srpska Department of Statistics, published in their periodic surveys (2007 and 2011) on the average cost of living statistics per each household. Data statistics collected after the research shows very poor socio-economic situation of households indicating widespread poverty, whose causes should be sought in major structural changes taking place in our society for more than two decades.
