Abstract

Each presentation will be followed by questions on content, after which the audience will be encouraged to contribute their views on findings applicability and on policies and interventions that may overcome the inertia seen in levels of health inequalities in Europe during a final discussion session. Added value of organizing the workshop: Providing stateof-the-art knowledge on key social determinants of health and interventions related to them; discussion of policy recommendations; sharing insights into effectively advocating for health equity to diverse stakeholder and target groups so as to reduce social inequalities and increase well-being. Key messages Early childhood, work conditions, and income & social protection are associated with health inequalities. As such, they are sites for interventions and policies to drive a move towards health equity. Harnessing research findings and galvanising support for reducing health inequalities requires sustained advocacy efforts to achieve success.
