Society of Pediatric Nurses: A Year in Review

Abstract

Welcome to 2021! If you are like me, it is hard to believe we made it through 2020. I am sure when 2020 was dubbed the Year of the Nurse and Nurse Midwife, we (the profession of nursing), had NO idea how meaningful that title would become. Indeed 2020 was a year like no other. The consequences of this pandemic have affected us not only on an individual and personal level, but also on a professional level. Never in my WILDEST dreams, would I have thought that my presidency with SPN would begin at the onset of a pandemic and continue through the next phase of the same pandemic.
