Abstract
This paper is focused on the global risks and its categories faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). World Economic Forum (WEF) has monitored as well as emphasized major global risks and categorized them into five main factors that are; societal, economic, geopolitical, environmental and technological. Therefore, a literature review was conducted to identify the most studied risks in SMEs and it was found that the societal risks received minor attention, particularly in pandemic perspective. Currently, SMEs are massively vulnerable to the pandemic outbreak of Corona 2019 (Covid-19) as it is now called. This study has discussed the impacts of this pandemic on SMEs and how the SMEs should manage this crisis.
