Abstract

The study aims to identify the extent to which Jordanian society accepts academic and managerial women, in addition to revealing the extent of the influence of the psychological characteristics of the leading woman. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, where a questionnaire was developed to collect the necessary data. The study population consisted of all members of the teaching and administrative staff at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al-Ahliyya Amman University during the academic years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, totaling a number of 57 respondents, and the study sample included 54 respondents. The study reached several results, most notably that the level of women’s leadership challenges at work was at an excellent level of (2.83), and that women leaders can manage crises and find the necessary solution at work at a very high score of (2.66). One of the most important recommendations recommended by the study is to enable women to practice their administrative work, as they have proven their existence and strengthened them through moral support and providing the necessary training for them to develop their managerial skills.
